Between 1948 and 1955 Gaya Tile stood out from the rest thanks to the varied invention patents applied in the manufacturing and ceramic enamelling. In 1960, Gaya Tile became the first company to export ceramic products. The rapid growth of the company led them to move premises, from L'Alcora to Castellon, the core of Spanish ceramic production. 2006 saw Gaya's purchase of Gres de Valls factory in Onda, incresing its production capacity by adding four new production lines.
